• Q: If I’ve been switched, how do I switch back?

  Switching back to Brown & Toland is easy! Simply call your health plan and tell the health plan representative you would like to choose Brown & Toland as your medical group. Tell the health plan representative the name of your new Brown & Toland primary care physician. You may select a different medical group for each family member!

• Q: If I have been switched, do I have to wait for open enrollment to switch back?

• Q: Why is my physician no longer with Brown & Toland Physicians?

  Your physician may be affiliated with another medical group and no longer participates with Brown & Toland. But good news, with the hundreds of Brown & Toland full-time physicians accepting new patients it’s easy to switch to Brown & Toland.

• Q: How do I know if I’ve been switched?

  If you do not see “Brown & Toland” listed as your medical group on your health plan ID card, you have been switched out of Brown & Toland Physicians. You will no longer have access to CPMC, including their world-class pediatric urgent and emergency care services, or Stanford Hospital & Clinics. To switch back, simply call your health plan and ask them to make Brown & Toland your medical group.
